Millennium'04 Big Band

Musicians that make up the Millennium'04 Music are rated among the most talented in the area (Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, New York), and are affiliated with other performing organizations. In giving young musicians a tool for working the Millennium'04 Big Band has become a society for learning.

The name Millennium'04 has a dual meaning. The plan and project for this group began in 1999-2000. 1). The vision and sound of this ensemble materialized in the 4th year of the second Millennium. 2). There are four sections in a big band (Rhythm, Trumpet, Trombone and Sax). Each one of these sections can stand-alone, but when they are all combined they become a very powerful force of nature. The main consideration for this group is providing a place for them to refine their talents and create concepts of music using elements to form new iconic figures in the evolution of African American Folk Music.

The mission of the Millennium'04 Big Band is to preserve the essence and promote the aesthetics of American Classical Music through education and its performance idiom. The heart and soul of this band has a message to carry the legacy and innovations set by the elders of America's classical music art form. The union of this band consists of the most talented musicians practicing today. hese young have taken the step to bridge the immortal elements of American Classical Music to level by connecting the traditional sounds of the big bands to shape ideas in terms (incorporating a concept) of, "What Is Yet To Come."

The objective of the Millennium'04 Big Band is to make certain that the tradition of American Classical music in America and the evolution of its ingenious art form continue a style of music stemming from their creative iconic figures in music history.
